I'll be attending the Field of 68 games. Looking forward to seeing what kind of team Coach Nagy has put together.
Will also be exciting to watch Robbie Avila, Isaiah Swope, and Josh Schertz now that they are Billikens. InSU probably isn't so pleased. haha
Will probably stick around for the third game, too, SDSU vs. McNeese, even though I have no interest in either team.
I'm an SIU grad and was there during part of the Rich Herrin era.
Getting back to Hensley at the 5 how many teams in today's game have a dominant player in the post also I believe the game is more athletic wings and how they can change the game and that seems the way this team is built especially without a true point guard and wing mismatched can be just as important as post dominance
Is there an article written about all the new players and new coaching style? I realize a lot of the info is in the ‘24-‘25 player thread, but I don’t have the time to read through the whole thread. I couldn’t find anything searching this site. Thanks.
Luke Martin has done dozens of interviews throughout the summer and fall and Rodney Watson is at the end of interviewing every player this fall. We also had an open practice and an exhibition game. The video and audio interviews of coaches and players will give you the best insight at this time. Go to siusalukis.com or Saluki Basketball, Luke Martin and Rodney Watson on X. SIU doesn't have a beat writer anymore so local written coverage is pretty much non existent. There have also been some mentions and blurbs in articles by MVC writers. Is there an article written about all the new players and new coaching style? There was a time when we would have a thread for each new player in the recruiting forum. I'd like to see us get back to doing that.Luke Martin has done dozens of interviews throughout the summer and fall and Rodney Watson is at the end of interviewing every player this fall. I highly recommend staying for that game. Will Wade has built a BEAST of a small mid-major in McNeese St. I fully expect him to leave after this season. Regardless, they are set to win another 25-30 games this year.
Enjoy - I am envious !!!
Will watching this game on YouTube require a subscription ?

Nope, you;ll just have to deal with all of YouTube's ads. YouTube premium makes it ad-free.

Charleston will be a test. It looks like they’re currently favored by about 3.5.
Anyway, I’m jacked. It almost feels like the first day of the NCAA tournament.
RIP to the work I’m supposed to be doing today.
