UNLV is 4 - 0 with a win over #21 Dayton.

Their center is 6'10". Gets a lot of minutes. Had 9rbs and 4 steals against Dayton. We're gonna need our big guys.

You almost have to play Wonders at this point. Whatever his defensive deficiencies are.

I have no idea why Xavier Johnson was even recruited. He is meh defensively, not anything special as a distributor, and provides nothing offensively.

Losing Ebube hurts. Ebube, Rupert, Domask, Jones, Banks is probably SIU's best starting 5.

Our starting line-up is extremely weak at the 3 and the 5.  If we keep trotting out Brown & D'Amico, we aren't going anywhere this season.

UNLV figured out they could go right at Brown and score every time.  A random three-pointer here and there (along with a bunch of clanks) does not make up for his lack of height & mobility on defense.  I don't get it.  He must be a hell of a practice player.

Starting D'Amico over Rupert (or Hornecker) at the 5 is another head-scratcher.  D'Amico is a stretch 4 at best.  He doesn't match up well with any other team's big man and he brings very little to the table offensively.  (See above).

I'm a big Bryan Mullins fan.  But if other teams' coaches can figure out these deficiencies and exploit them so easily, I don't understand why ours continues to be so stubborn with his line-ups.

this trip into the middle of the night was so memorable it needs two threads.  as always, rockin' dawg is spot on.  with a team that can't score, we are starting two players who we know aren't going to score.  puts a lot of pressure on that third scorer, which now resembles the masked singer.

The “third scorer” in the starting lineup had 0 points. 😆

vegas has put up a betting number for tomorrow:  what number will be higher, the salukis final score or the bobber's front 9 score.

I have no idea how Domask even had 20+ yesterday considering UNLV was doubling him everytime he touched the ball.  Guessing that’ll be the new norm until SIU can figure out another scorer.  Nobody should be fearing Brown, Newton, Johnson right now.

I just don’t get not playing Cade. If you blew the redshirt play him.

same with Wonders we need offense and the kid is pure offense.

I trust Bryan but I’m not happy right now.

I know you've been excited about this kid from Day 1, but Mullins has a history of not playing guys who struggle on D.  If he's not ready now after a redshirt year and another full offseason of work, I'm not sure he will ever be...... this is ASSUMING, of course, that he is 100% healthy.
