No rhythm in the 2nd half I believe had to with the refs blowing the whistle not allowing teams to get in a flow and also people complaining about certain guys minutes this game allowed Mullins to play different combinations that might help in the Valley at times because at on time we had X at 6 1 Troy at 6 7 Stulic at 6 6 Hensley 6 8 and Scottie at 6 10 how's that for a bigger lineup
Why did Cross not get in? Or did I just totally miss that
I was wondering the same thing unless Mullins wanted Sharp and Miller to get more minutes but yes he should have playedWhy did Cross not get in? Or did I just totally miss that
It was great to see Sharp in action finally. He looks like he is going to be a good one!
Attendance was 6,024 which was the biggest crowd of the year so far even without students. Should have another big crowd for the UIC game next Saturday with the holiday weekend
Glad our Salukis took care of business. But this was one of the most boring games I’ve been to. Can’t believe I’m saying that with a crowd of over 6,000. Good win though. On to conference play!
I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd, the young kids were really into it. On another note, I must admit to being sardonically amused by the comments of the “usual suspects” after SIU covers the spread by 200%. Don’t know how we did that with such an incompetent coach! But hey, message boards perform a needed function, everybody has a chance to be somebody! Merry Christmas y’all! Go Dawgs!

31 point win and people still focusing on what is wrong. Amazes me!
You'll be amazed when we lose conference games we should win because our backups play poorly due to lack of development.
Without XJ, we are going to lose a lot of games. For him to be playing and risking injury at the end of a 30 pt non-conference blowout against a really bad team is not smart.
At the same time, our future backup PG got only 6 minutes in a 30 pt non-conference blowout against a really bad team.
For Ebube, who badly needs game experience since he missed most of last season, to get just 9 minutes is truly inscrutable.
Stick your head back in the sand.

Does the filter ever kick in and you think maybe I shouldn't type this? Obviously no, but I thought I would ask.
Could have been a 50 point blowout if the second half was officiated differently. Bummer these guys cannot figure out how to rebound, likely the death of this team come March. Definitely better than I thought they would be though.

Hensley has not looked good at all tonight. Can't go to his right.
I thought he looked pretty damned good, other than the one horrible, off-balance shot he threw up there. He has a scorer's mentality and his defense is getting better. He has a nice shooting stroke, too.

Yeah walk-ons bust their butts all year helping get the rotation guys prepared. The least Mullins could do is give him a minute off the bench. Maybe there's more to situation I don't know
