If SLU is picked to win the A-10 it is not a good conference they are offensively inept
A-10 must be bad this year or SLU is highly overrated. Not impressed with them.

I am in the mold that I would never wish SIU to lose but at the same time I don't want anything to happen that might help Hinson either.
I am at the point where just seeing him or hearing him speak makes me angry. I didn't even have that with Lowery. And the thought of Hinson being at SIU after this year makes me want to pull my hair out.
I still cant wrap my head around why they hired him in the first place. And it seems like he will be at SIU until he no longer wants to be.

We are lucky to escape this one with a win. Unimpressive.
Without Thik Bol, we don’t hold that lead. This is both encouraging (think of the upside he has) and scary (injuries). We need him fully engaged to have a chance in the conference and Enterprise Center. Without him healthy, I don’t see a shot for SIU.

I just want SIU to have a coach who can build a successful program. Challenge for conference titles. Challenge for NCAA tourney berths. And if they make an NCAA tournament, be able to compete. Recruit against other good mid majors for recruits.
Barry Hinson cannot do those things. And what is so infuriating, is that it was known he was incapable of doing those things when he was hired. They literally hired a guy they knew wouldn't be successful. And it is maddening.
Don't care how good or bad SLU is, this is a nice win for the program. Carry it over to SEMO and keep winning.
Why? We killed them on the boards and played very good D. Fact is, SLU is lucky they weren't embarrassed. If we'd shot even halfway normally - we missed a lot of wide open outside shots - we would have blown them out. Their tough D and a few 3s kept them in the game.
Their O is not great.
Sure, they had a chance to really put them away, but great defense... Bol healthy is huge. Great win against a Billiken squad that had just knocked off Butler. Coming into this game, Joe Lunardi had Butler in the tournament as a 10 and SLU in as an 11 seed.
Love how this team plays hard. Haters gonna hate people... don't let that ruin what continues to be a fun season of Saluki basketball.
I'll take it, good win, I wasn't impressed by slu, I thought they were better than the hype I been hearing about. Congrats to the team
Tik has some serious shot blocking chops!! But we knew that from two years ago when he was 2nd in the MVC in blocks.
Needs to work on those FTs.
