I want to buttress my argument a bit. Big players (6'8 and more) comprised 43% of the season minutes so far for the top 6 players in terms of minutes played for St. Louis. For us, it is 14%. That's right...Bol is 7th in minutes. That would definitely change going forward if I were coaching. Now, I know Bol just did round into form, so I understand a bit about what has transpired and I'm willing to give it a pass thus far, but going forward, that 14% number must go up.
You are right on the money here. However, Bol is limited to the minutes he can play based on how his knees are feeling. Barry said early on that Bol has about 10-15 minutes per game in him. That's a shame since he can be such a force.
Right now, you have six guards sharing the minutes of four positions. Pip and Bol share the one "Big" position. I think that is going to have to change for this team to do any better than the previous few years. Just because we did it in 1967 with one "Big" does not mean that 2018 can be the same. Besides, where are the Frazier and Garrett on this team? I think this team will go as Bol goes and that does not mean that we sit Pip.

I would be surprised if Bol makes it to the end without the injury bug cropping up.
St Louis beats Oregon State.
Oregon state is not really very good
True enough, I suppose. SI had them 9th out of 12 in pre-season.....
but, their rpi was good enough that the St. Louis win bumped us up to #49
yeah, I know it is early.
That St Louis win is getting better and better. Need fletcher back. Beat Murray state and that Buffalo game is now massive

They put up 101 pts on MO ST. Only other loss was 69-63 to Missouri.

Fingers crossed on Bol too. I'm really pulling for this kid to make it through the season. Plus, he's a difference maker on this team.

Any win against slu is a good win in my book, would be good to protect home court against murry and take a shot at Buffalo at theirs, If Hinson and the boys could pull that off, might have something going. I might even drink the koolaid again, lol

Bol said on twitter that his knee was fine, just tweaked it.
Hey, if we win the next two, you can serve me up a glass. After all, it is just kool-aid.

Surprised I just now realized former SIU recruit Demarius Jacobs is at SLU.
