Topic starter

With the many games where we start slow and get behind early I am wondering if BM needs to consider changing some of his rotations.  Any ideas from the peanut gallery?  Personally, I think D'Amico has earned a look at being a starter as he can match up with both guards and bigs on switches better than most and does so many intangibles.  Verplacken seems to have cooled offsensively and I don't think we would lose much defensively from what I have seen with D'Amico.  JD has not been very good on the offensive side and seems to struggle with passing the ball in the high post as well as converting down low (I won't go into the free throws).  I think Filewhich is better in both those areas and may be worth a start and see what happens.  Jones, Coupet, Domask, D'Amico, Filewhich.

Trouble is, not going to get much scoring from D'Amico and at times, Verp can be a good outside shooter.

Unless the opponent has a great inside game (MoSt), I agree KF is a better O player and a better passer. Now if he could only make those FTs.

I agree that Filewich should be starting whenever we are going big.  Muila does a good job on defense and seems to be trying to score more.  If the opponents big man is very mobile, then Muila might be the better choice, but I think we need the scoring option that we get from Filewich.

It appears to me they have been better with the smaller lineup. Filewich is the only big that contributes much.

The reality is there aren't five guys who have played consistently well enough to "deserve" to start. After Domask and Jones and, to a lesser extent, Coupet, they might as well toss the rest of the names into a hat and hope for the best. Or give Chris Cross a start for the hell of it ...

This this this.   After the main two guys, you really could pull the rest out of a hat.

It’s been that way the entire season.  I’m not gonna believe in the three freshmen next season being good until we see something.

Recruiting doesn’t seem to be a strong suit through 3 seasons.
