(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”

If Hinson truly cared about these Seniors he would step down NOW and give them a chance to be successful this YEAR. He always wants people to believe that he is a great guy , actions speak volumes Hinson.  He has to know how this will end he has been there in the past .

Interesting to see Les stick his head out of his shell. Pretty big to see the Illusion dip their collective toes in the water. Barry is lousy under pressure and this will end poorly.

Thanks Barry for bailing out the program. It's time to turn over the reins to someone who can take us to the next level.

I like primary sources. Posters here should see what I see.

1. Hinson/Bradley/Reis radio post-game:

siusalukis.com/watch/?Archive=3394&type=Live

2. Hinson with the rest of the media (where you can see for yourself what Winkeler saw and heard):

There is much, much more to come...

(edit to make link work, I hope...and on my Windows boxes the first link does not work well with Firefox browsers)

Back in April-May, I had sent an email about an article Les had written about Hinson and the Salukis. He would not see my side of the argument and was balls deep protecting BBQ Cheeto Leader (Hinson). Maybe now he is starting to get it. Just maybe!

Psh. Winkeler should have written this article two years ago and we’d be in much better shape in this weak ass conference. We should dominating it not losing at home to fuggin Bradley.

My my god he should have been fired after the game.

I am encouraged by the signs we are seeing such as even the southern questioning him, but I just can’t truly feel confident this will be it.  I don’t know what sort of full court charm press Hinson is putting on behind the scenes and I don’t know if I trust you know who of boosters to honor any agreements he made about expectations

This is going to get much uglier.  When the end is near, Barry will reach out to his media buddies to whine and complain, and extol his accomplishments, and SIU will come off looking like the bad guy for letting him go.  Go back and research his tenure and departure from MO STATE and you will see endless similarities.

Oh, and Tommy Bell tried to do the right thing but was blocked by boosters who paid a lot of $$$ to have access and be Friends of the Program.  It's a status thing for these boosters, just ask them.

Too little, too late, per the usual, from the dynamic duo of Winkeler and Hefferman, but at least it's something, I suppose?

Among the key points unaddressed in the article is whether Kill will have to navigate the booster cronyism that cost Tommy Bell his job. He presents the scenario like it'll just be a clean-cut business decision on Kill's part.

The only good thing Barry did here was buying pizza for the Dawg Pound.  Even saying he saved academics is quite a stretch.  I don't see many Academic All-Americans on any of his rosters.  I see kids who were kicked out of other schools and kids who were so bad academically that other schools refused to even take a chance on them.  That's not on the kids- it's on Barry and his "desperation mode" approach to recruiting.

Barry saved us from academic sanctions and for the most part cleaned up the outlaw image. He deserves credit for that much.
