Just a guess....but Loyola went to the final four and looked really good while there. I suspect that has had the effect of pulling all the other teams up a bit in the eyes of those outside the MVC.

The guys on this site had three to four Valley teams in the top 100 for several years with Wichita State grabbing the projected number 1 Valley Ranking. I believe last year they just felt the Valley would be a sub-par conference and ranked the Valley teams accordingly. I believe after Loyola's run last year, they realize the Valley is not falling out of contention in the future over the loss of Wichita State.

Agree, a nice time killer waiting for football and hoops to begin. Especially after picking Loyola as #100 last year. Kind of shoots their cred.
Also think the reviewer overlooked the Bol situation regarding front court support, assuming he's OK physically. Maybe they know something we don't. Don't think our coaching situation helps our rating either.

I think Bol will be ready by November--plus, just a wild guess, that thirteenth Scholie may be used to solidify the front court---just a wild guess
