62 - 50 victory. Not the prettiest, but it's a conference win. I will take it. Spread was 6.5 but Dawgs win it by 12. I feel that we will need to be more cohesive Tuesday night vs Belmont. Just did not feel like a good flow tonight, but quite typical for the Valley.
GO DAWGS!!!
I hope these guys in need of surgery are being sent to Barnes/Wash U. Speaking from experience . . .

Needed an offensive spark from the bench and didn’t get much of one but fortunately XJ carried the Dawgs to the finish line, with an assist from some poor UIC shooting. Will take the ugly win.
Need to accumulate Ws with this favorable early MVC schedule.

Bryan Mullins would adopt him if he could. 😆
To bad if the news on Cade is true hopefully he will able to be back and be his positive self on the bench this year and be productive next year and as far as Ebube tonight people might be upset with his lack of playing time but UIC plays a 5 out on offense and unfortunately he would have been a liability on defense but I expect big minutes against Belmont as they play a more traditional big man
It’s getting to the point where we need to acknowledge in terms of one year, X is going to go down as one of the greatest modern Salukis ever. There’s nothing he can’t do. Of course, if Tatum was able to play 6 years perhaps we see something even more special .. and so on. The 6th year has led to a lot of unbelievable performances.

I love this program and team, but the one thing I can't understand is the roster management.
It looks like the 2nd year in a row that we are going to totally blow a player's year of eligibility by killing a redshirt opportunity with meaningless minutes (Hornecker/Sharp).
Ebube finally got some decent run the last couple games and dominated, yet tonight he played a total of 2 minutes.
I like Trent Brown, but in no circumstance does it make sense for him to play 40 minutes a game. Especially in a game like tonight where he isn't hitting shots and he's getting bullied on defense by bigger guards. 15-20 minutes would be much more appropriate.
Xavier's dominance hides some serious roster mismanagement that I'm worried will come back to bite us badly next year.
Probably our ugliest offensive performance of the year (give a lot of credit to UIC), but it was nice to see us display the toughness to pull out the win.
Not much activity on here tonight. Must be because all of our people were at the game. 7,004 attendance! Ugly, but great win! On to Belmont!

Hornecker is likely getting a redshirt year this year anyways. Not sure on Sharp but it's possible it's his choice.

No, you're not missing anything. But Bryan is.

Cade can definitely get the redshirt, but how is Sharp getting a redshirt? He played 6 minutes after returning from an injury. Doesn't that disqualify him?
