Back at it again on Sunday with Valpo.
Since SIU last saw Valpo, the Beacons have gone 2-3 including a win at home against Northern Iowa.
Previous Meeting:
On January 8th, SIU beat Valpo 63-60 at the ARC behind 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists from Marcus Domask and 14 points from Dalton Banks off the bench. Valpo was led by 18 points from Kobe King and 16 points from Ben Krikke. Valpo's Trevor Anderson missed the game with an injury and won't play in this one either as he's out for the season.
Links:
Reis interviewed Kobe King for pregame or something. Didn’t realize he played a few years for Wisconsin Badgers, so that’s why he’s so good.
I remember Krikke being tough in the first game. So I’m guessing this won’t be a cakewalk.
Too bad this game is right in the middle of both NFL conference championship games.
How badly do we need to win this? Effort should tell a lot about how this team feels about itself.
Time to start a winning streak. Go Dawgs!
So far in 2 plus seasons with Mullins as coach I don't think we have questioned the teams effort so I don't forsee this as a problem

Definitely never crossed my mind that this team may not give effort.
Would like to see some offensive adjustments this afternoon - maybe not draining each shot clock before putting up a shot can help solve some of our offensive woes.

They have been that way all season.
I would like to see some transition buckets from all this supposedly great defense we play.
Just hope there are some significant changes in personnel and philosophy for next season.

Coaching philosophy rarely changes. Personnel probably will to some degree.
