Very gutty win by the Salukis! My biggest takeaways are:

Brown played terrific defense!

Harvey had his best overall game of the year. Great passes, clutch scoring and better defense.

Banks had a great game, especially defensively!

Filewich with another very solid game. Plays smart.

Jones had a great game and showed guts as he was understandably tired.

Good win against a Valpo team that played well both games and is playing with confidence.

When Jones is playing well, the team feeds off it and can be competitive.

One of Banks’ best games. Very active and gritty on D.

Four wins without Domask. I don’t know that we could have expected many more.

Hope it’s not the last W of the season.

Good bounce back win tonight.

At least team as been looking good in the back end of the back to backs.   Like the effort and adjustments.

My thoughts: Won and only hit four 3s! Thought we had more. Way to hold Krieke after he torched us early. Dawgs played great D tonight. I think Lance Jones takes his time getting up off the floor just to get a few more seconds of rest...he looks like he is done for the game when he just lays there. He played 40 minutes on a back to back.  Dalton Banks...the more I watch him the more his D reminds me of Darren Brooks.  My gosh...this was Senior Night! Reis to Mullins:"Maybe next time you play in here there will be some fans." Amen.  First and last games home games at Banterra Center were wins. Maybe next year we can get a lot more in between.  Krutwig v Filewich next week. Can sneak a win up there?  Mullins did not rule out Domask playing.

This team is gassed and it showed again at the end of tonight. Hopefully more help is on the way.

The team played much better tonight.  Still not crazy about the way we almost pissed it away in the last few minutes again.

I will say this. We wouldn't have won this game without Lance Jones, but we didn't win solely because of him.  Banks and Filewich were solid.  And Harvey played his best overall game IMO.  Kudos to the entire  team.

There were a few stretches in the first half when our offense looked excellent...bodes well for the future.

I'm loving Filewich and Banks..They're going to play some great ball for us.

Thought the team played well for the most part. Much better ball movement.. we also made those close-in shots today..didn't just depend on 3s. Harvey had a nice game and Lance Jones played great...7 - 11 shooting, 4 assists, 21 pts in 40 minutes.

It was GREAT to see the backdoor cuts and excellent passes added to the offense. Combined with more high-low action we will be much more efficient. The over-emphasis on ball screens, handoffs, and driving does not suit most of our perimeter players.

Also, we have smart kids. We really need to develop some out of bounds under our basket plays involving off-ball screens and cutting. Some screen the screener plays would be great. We really needed a play at the end of the first Valpo game. These kids should be able to execute at least 5 OBU plays instead of lobbing the ball up to the FT line area.

Seems like this has been flying under the radar a bit, but members of the Braves forum seem to think the three remaining suspended players are done on the Basketball team at least...Childs being one of them. Thought he would come back next year.
