I must say, your spelling and punctuation have dramatically improved. I believe I may have a XXL white sweatshirt if you would be so inclined to use.
Drake has 2 slip-ups this year both in consecutive games. Game is at 1:00 PM on ESPNU, wear white
For having had such a terrific season, Drake is an odd team in that outside of Stirtz and Mascari (who is strictly a 3-point shooter), no one really scares you offensively. But they play excellent defense, have athletic bigs and are extremely well-coached. And Stirtz has just done it all for them all year.
They don’t play their bench much and have shown some signs of wearing down in recent weeks but are very comfortable playing in tight, low-scoring games. If Southern can stay in it, probably going to be one of those games where every second half possession is magnified and limiting turnovers/not giving up easy baskets/making free throws will make the difference.
Hopefully we practiced inbounding- under our own basket, side line, and against the press.

Driving down with my son for this one. I hope they can keep this one close. This is going to be a grind it out type of game. Drake is very methodical on offense, which means possession will be down. It’s imperative that they take care of the ball and take good shots.
If we are going to pull this out, we have to shoot a decent clip and stay locked in on defense for the full shot clock. Watching some of their games, they almost lull you to sleep the first 15 seconds of the shot clock with their ball screens, just waiting for an opening (bad hedge, defender not fighting through, whatever) and Sturtz just attacks. We really shouldn’t be helping off Mascari, if he gets open looks, they tend to go down.
We should have a size advantage inside, but their bigs are still pretty skilled. Hopefully we are able to crash the glass for second and third looks.
