Game 1: Northern Iowa vs. Illinois St.
If Bowen Born was relatively healthy and ready to play, I'd pick the Purple Kitties. But it doesn't sound like he is so I'll go with ISUred.
Game 2: Indiana St. vs. Evansville
Really???
Game 3: Murray St. vs. Valparaiso
These two teams played to OT in Kentucky last Sunday. I just think that Murray has run out of gas,
Game 4: Missouri St. vs. UIC
I just think UIC will find a way to keep it close but end up losing the game after the final media TO.
Out preview should be out today.
we agree on most of this already 😊
My prediction is that SIU will not play on Thursday 😜
I think playing UIC, a team without much depth after playing Thursday night, would be a big advantage for Southern Friday. Could happen, but Mo State is the better/deeper team and should win.
If it's SIU-Missouri State on Friday, I'd expect it will be scary/tight most or all of the way through. The blowout win in Carbondale was an outlier with Mo State shorthanded that day. Mo State has enough talent and athleticism to play with good teams but enough dysfunction/clunky offensive sets not to win decisively very often. Guess what I'm saying is I don't mind the matchup but also don't love it. And who knows what kind of X-factor the recent scrutiny of Ford's future could play, one way or the other.
Drake over Bradley but could see Bradley falling to Belmont or Indiana State. I’m pretty confident in Drake winning though.
Game 1: Still cannot get confirmation on Born's status. If he plays I'm going with UNI
Game 2: No Brainer - Indiana St
Game 3: Murray St
Game 4: Missouri St
Coach has legal problems and the local paper has already started the Dana watch. Potential candidates have already started calling about the job. Major pressure.I think playing UIC, a team without much depth after playing Thursday night, would be a big advantage for Southern Friday. Try not to puke over all of the Murray State trash billboards driving in to St. Louis.

also pukable - E is for excellence (NOT)!
TheSIU had almost given up and ceded St. Louis to SIU Jr it seems....but looks like Chancellor Lane hasn't given up.

I'm rooting for the last two games to go multiple OTs so the UIC/Misery St winner is gassed and tired
Does ANYONE have any cost savings ideas on hotels? I'm seeing $200+ per night. I already have game tickets so I can't not come. LOL Any advice would be appreciated.
stay in West County somewhere rather than downtown - it's 20 minutes or so to drive, lots of options for the Drury close to 270 @ Olive in Creve Couer or I-64/40 @ Clarkson in Chesterfield. Bunch of Hotels at Westport or otherwise in Maryland Heights also. Or the Chesterfield Valley which is a little further out but still not a terribly long drive from downtown.

After going undefeated in picking each MVC game last year, I"m off to a good start. Let's see if we can keep this train moving. Friday's picks:
Game 1: Bradley over UNI. At FULL strength, UNI could give them a game, but Born is still not 100%.
Game 2: Belmont over Indiana St. This is the toughest game to call
Game 3: Drake over Murray St. I don't think this one will even be close
Game 4: SIU over Missouri St. Perhaps won't be an easy game, but I've got the Dawgs in this one.
