WSIU's Brad Palmer interviewed Tim Leonard last weekend. Talks about the importance of Men's Basketball at SIU and has some very strong criticism of the Power Four.

Good stuff but I think breaking off from the Power 4 is a terrible idea

Definitely some interesting, pointed commentary in there.

I’m onboard with the approach of going all-in on men’s basketball and trying to piggyback on that, but actions speak louder than words, so we’ll have a better sense of reality when we see what kind of recruiting battles are won and lost (along with retention) this spring.

Really enjoyed the interview. The interviewer was well-informed on the topics and asked some pointed (although respectful) questions. Does anyone know if Brad Palmer is related to the sports broadcaster of the same name (nicknamed The Professor) who was a legend in Chicago for so many years? Seemed like there's a facial resemblance, so could be his son. The elder Brad Palmer also was a very tough questioner and was a thorn in the side of just about every Chicago coach and manager over the years.
