Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports has done a good job of following the whole deal with the House case and every thing with the recent changes in the CFP and the rest of college football. He got a list of what the cost would be to each conference over the next 10 years in paying for the settlement of the House case. The Missouri Valley Conference will owe in the neighborhood of $35 to $43 million over the 10 years of the settlement. Assuming that each school will pay an equal share, it will probably cost SIU around $300-$400,000 a year in reduced payments from the NCAA.

Something about this House settlement smells...the A5 conferences are the named litigants, the NCAA leads the negotiations for all the collective conferences & leagues but then there is no method or process for the non-A5 leagues to approve or even have input on the final agreement... I think it's time all the non-A5 leagues establish their own "NCAA" governing body and tell the NCAA to kiss their collective buttocks. We're phucked if we stay with the NCAA, so let's go rogue now and get phucked but at least without the hypocrisy and shenanigans of the NCAA and A5 conferences.
