"ESPN analyst Desmond Howard said Nebraska needs to apologize for football coach Scott Frost suggesting the Cornhuskers might play outside the Big Ten and said the conference should kick out Nebraska."

Personally, I don't think they add much to the Big 14 other than a little geographic balance.

Also, Nebraska is the only Big 14 school not a member of the prestigious Assoc. of American Universities. Got voted out in 2011:

When Big 10 Commish Warren was asked specifically by Yahoo Sports if Nebraska could play college football this fall, he gave an answer that would make his hardline predecessor nod with approval.

“No,” he said, firmly. “Not and be a member of the Big Ten Conference.”

Not like Nebraska has provided the Big Ten anything.  Poor basketball and declining football the last decade.

Kick them out and let Rutgers go with them.
