SEMO and Brad Korn are going dancing in year 2 after beating Tennessee Tech in the OVC Championship. Won 4 games in 4 days.

amazing feat and they'll be out after the 1st round but still very cool
SEMO was helped by an extremely weak OVC for sure. That said he has done well there.

They might not even make it there (first four)
Looking forward to watching SEMO and Drake in the Tournament.
Steven Verplancken is playing on ESPN2 for Weber State in the Big Sky semifinals. Currently 4-5 for 10 points and the leading scorer. Weber State would be playing a 12-22 Northern Arizona team in the Finals if they win.

I will now acknowledge I’d rather have had him in the rotation than a couple of the senior guards who saw time. He’s had a pretty impressive season.
That was a pretty fun, ugly game. Montana State survives in double OT. Maybe 12-22 Northern Arizona will sneak in with them being tired
Verplancken was 3rd team All-Con Big Sky, a conference inferior to the MVC.
For us, he had a few nice games but usually disappeared on the offensive side of the ball.
Go SEMO! (We squeaked by them by 2 points - embarrassing.)
Korn doing a good job.
A couple sorta-Saluki-related notes on this Selection Sunday:
- One-time Saluki commit Chris Payton had 17 points on 7 of 7 shooting from the floor last night for Kent State in their MAC title win over Toledo. I know his offcourt persona was not considered to be a great fit for the Mullins culture but his athleticism definitely would have added something to the roster.
- I saw Oklahoma State listed among Lunardi's "last four out," which brings to mind a certain result from November in Stillwater ... if they barely miss the cut, that's as close as the Salukis will come to some Selection Sunday relevancy ...

We could use an athlete like Payton on our roster next year. Hopefully Mullins has realized that. Good for Payton though. Was watching that game and he stood out, plays very hard and was most aggressive player on floor majority of game.
Watching the SEC tournament and it's unbelievable the lack of class shown by SEC coaches and players. Ugly incident with Arkansas assistant coach and UK student journalist. That is cultural because Arkansas head coach is a hot head and D bag. Alabama running fast break after fast break with 2 minutes left up 20 on A & M. Alabama head coach getting T'd up arguing a call up 20 with 2 minutes left. Same coach who allows an accessory to murder (not charged) to continue to play. Countless classless acts committed during games by SEC players, etc. It's a culture in that league and as far from Mullins culture as it gets. I wish Bryan was more fiery at times and coached better offense, but he runs an infinitely classier program than pretty much any out there.
