Any news on a new AD? Supposed to name new AD by the first of the year any news on this front ?
I know that we are using Parker Executive Search, but I have not heard any names.
Hearing a hire ISNT going to happen anytime soon. Anyone have any information on what is going on ?

I don't have any information on what is happening, but Parker still has the position posted on their website. Chancellor Lane did state that the finalists would be made public, so we probably aren't to that point yet.
Collegiate Consulting tweeted out that there will be a complete reset in the Parker search for SIU AD because of a disappointment in candidate finalist pool.
With that being said above, maybe Killer gets to be AD again after he bails on New Moccia State.
Ouch! That really sucks. It's disappointing SIU isn't attracting better candidates for the role. Hoping whomever SIU gets has a solid vision for advancing Saluki Athletics and increasing the fund raising.
Im not sure that its SIU that is not attracting better candidates. I wonder if its not what the parameters are that the Chancellor gave the search firm. If the firm isn't told get the best candidate you can find.. period... , but is told for example....I want a female, minority, with minor sports expertise and the willingness to cut the budget by millions then that limits your pool. Or if they are told I want a Power 5 white male with an emphasis on Football who will be willing to run the department on 6-9 million less than its running currently, that will limit the pool . You get the point..Now I am not saying that any of those examples are what the University has submitted and its certainly not reflective of my personal beliefs but they are illustrations of what kind of thing might be going on. We are not in a good situation at the moment ... the SIU job is not a terrible job... its not a great one either. It will be interesting to see what happens.
The way two of the last 3 athletic directors were let go and the fact that the other one stayed such a short time probably limits the pool also.

3 out of the last 3 were sent packing.
Craving a McBride Special!

Shoulda kept Tommy. He was doing a good job and wanted to be here - he was just getting started.

Didn't Kill leave by choice after 5 minutes rather than sent packing?
We’re still dealing with Kill’s damage.
- Kill knifed Bell in the back to get the AD job.
- Kill left like a thief in the night. Whether John Dunn told him to leave like that or he did on his own is really not of consequence.
- The replacement AD he left hired a compliance director under a show cause among other tire fires to the point where the new Chancellor was forced to act.
All in all not good for ole’ Jer.
