Some may not agree but I like the direction our new AD is taking (along with help from Chancellor Austin). He's trying to inject more money into athletics and really boost our athletic success. Making good hires, bumping salaries where he can, and really pushing athletics to be better. Long overdue I think and tough to do in the environment in which the mids are getting squeezed.
Football, Golf, Softball, hopefully soon men's and women's basketball and track, soccer, etc...
Athletic success can be nothing but positive for SIU's future in general. I think it's really important.
When I look at the success Indiana State is having lately in track, baseball, and basketball, I'm jealous. No reason why that can't be SIU.

I pretty much agree. We expect all our teams to compete for and win championships. In the current climate winning is harder to do than ever before. All ADs are ultimately judged by their ability to hire and retain coaches and coaching staffs who get the job done.
