Finally!  Been hoping they'd go back to this look for one of the outdoor games.  Can't wait to see the sweater.

Giving this a bump.  Good weekend for the Hawks.  Toews is en fuego.  Nice to grab the extra point from The Note.  I read the beat reporter's story in the Tribune yesterday and it emphasized how the Hawks are focused on every point being important.  Blues missed the playoffs by one point last year.  Lets hope this is the point that puts the Hawks in this time.  If they can just survive Cam Ward in goal....

Ooops!

It will be nice to see Corey in net in the next week or two.

It will also be scary the first time he takes a shot off the noggin.

Hawks are an exciting bunch and the Blues have still never won a Stanley Cup.

Hawks D looks slow and doesn't manage the puck well.  33 2nd period SOG against on Sunday against a speedy Tampa team!!?  Ward made 50 saves and was standing on his head to only give up 5 (1 empty netter).   Thankfully Crawford looks good in the 2 starts so far but if both Hawks goalies are going to get peppered like that every night, the goalies are going to have to be excellent every night for them to have a chance.

Hawks looked good against the Ducks.

Cro looks good but he needs some help in front of him.  I'm just happy for Corey that he is back.  I've always liked him and was always on his bandwagon.

Hawks are getting points early which is what they need to build confidence and roll into the season.  Divsion's going to be tight so they can't afford to get out of the gate slow like The Note has done.  Liked the Hawks time of possession last night vs the Rangers.  Sunday's game vs. Edmonton should be interesting.  Another team that has speed and plays an up tempo style.  Considering what Tampa did to them Sunday playing like that, hopefully Q and the coaches have found a way to counter it.

Hawks fire Q

https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/ct-spt-blackhawks-fire-joel-quenneville-20181106-story.html

He'll be out of work for about a week.  Next team to fire a coach will be on him in a heartbeat.  LA is probably kicking themselves for jumping the gun.  Just hope Q doesn't wind up in the division.

The Hawks are a hot mess right now.  Good thing they got rid of that coach who was dragging them down 🙄

Time to start talking to the guys with no trade clauses and see if they'll waive them.  The young guys they have now just haven't stepped up.  Rumor is they'll be going hard after Panarin in the off season.

and Seattle makes 32

3 years to get the team up and running seems a bit long but they're probably allowing for the next lockout which, short of a miracle, hits in 2020.

Hawks are the worst team in NHL, wow they are terrible.  I know points wise they aren’t but they are brutal right now.

The depth they had during the Cup years just isn't there anymore and now they're paying the price.  Got a nice return on all the trades and contracts they signed guys to years ago but now we see the closing of the window.  Same with LA.  Are the Pens next?  Can't stay on top forever in a salary cap league.
