sounds like he took a cut in pay
Anyone know what Hill's contract looks like? When should he be up for an extension?
After the team's performance the last two years I assume he'd get an extension, but I wonder how much of a raise he'd get given the fiscal situation at SIU, compounded with the impact of the pandemic.
Nick's contract expires after the fall season. He is the lowest paid coach in the league. I believe he was given a one-year extension following the 2019 season.

Sounds like Jarnigan's going to have to make a move.
I found this article from UND from last spring that lists the coaching salaries for the MVFC: https://undfootball360.com/news/und-gives-schweigert-contract-extension/ .
Oddly enough, it doesn't have Hill listed, but I found where he's getting $175K, so tied for last with Elliot at WIU.
It'd be nice if SIU could get Hill to around $250K -- middle of the road in the Valley. He deserves that after the last two seasons.

Hopefully this playoff run excites people around Southern Illinois to start showing up to football games. Even with winning, it will be difficult to justify that kind of raise without an increase in ticket sales. Hopefully we see that too!
Stiegelm* is underpaid, Nielsel, Spack, and Entz are overpaid. Before this year, NH was the lowest paid in the league - gotta come up with more.
Schweigert has done a nice job up there - he won a D2 Nat'l Champ. I believe.
