To think what he could have accomplished had he stayed here.

He's having a bad year following a terrible year, but hasn't done too bad overall.

Bruce is a good coach but he's unable to build a program at these big schools.  He's doing the same thing he did at Illinois, was handed a goldmine (less so at Kansas State but they were still a good program) and hasn't been able to build upon it.

From what I have seen Bruce as an X & O coach, he can get the best results from the players he has been given, generally a 120% output and lots of hard work.  His problem is keeping those top level guys coming that want to work hard. (based on his coming to SIU and having a winning season, going to Illinois having a winning season and going to Kansas State and winning)

Maybe he can sneak by Omaha.  He's done at Kansas State.  I don't think he can adjust over time very well.  Not exactly a 1 trick pony but kind of close.

I'm more than happy with what we have now.

Me too.  Just not happy with our program took 10-12 years off of being relevant.  That all could have been avoided.

Bruce did great here, but lets face it, we haven’t fully recovered from Lowry yet.  It was tragic.

Weber did go to the elite 8 a few years ago, so he did do a bit better job of building up Kansas St than he did at Illinois, but yea it seems to be heading backwards in a very bad way in a hurry for him.

That team was a 9 seed though who lucked into playing a 16 seed in the 2nd round.
