Seems like a good location and there’s a lot of room for further development in that area if Freddy’s is a success.

Keepers Quarters is reopening in a new location in Carbondale. They will be in the old Kaya restaurant at 817 S IL Ave. They are opening Oct 16th. They were in Key West for 5 weeks several months ago. They out grew the space in no time. They not only had great food but one of  a kind selections. One being a deep fried, breaded pork rib dish. Outstanding. The two brothers have completely remodeled the location including brand new kitchen.

The old DiMaggio’s building just south of Panda Express has been completely gutted and stripped bare on the outside. Anyone know what’s going in there?

Did the new Keepers Quarters ever open a month ago?   Also, I don't remember Kaya.  What other things on The Strip would this be near?

I'd heard good things but they had left the Key West location by the time I tried to go there.

Keepers Quarters did open and I highly recommend it.  It is near Harbaugh's and right next to where the 710 was before it moved to the old water treatment plant.

This has probably been asked a thousand times...When did Jin's close?

It was torn down as well. Haven't heard what's going in there.

Anyone know what's going in the old Lonestar place? It's been painted some wild blue color.

Very nice article on Keepers Quarters in Feast Magazine.  Some great photos of the food.  And I knew when I saw the outside of it that it was the old McDonald's on The Strip from way back in the day.  The owners remodeled it themselves. The inside looks great.   Article link below:

Hot new pizza and wing place,

Some of the Best priced and good bone in wings in Carbondale!!! (they are using a smoked wing and their Sriracha Bourbon sauce is addictive!)

Pizza and Calzones are decent, but slightly pricey, but $2 slices make it a nice grab and go

2Guys pizza  (strip mall by Moes and Don Sol Mexican)

I've had it a couple times.  It's pretty good, but not great.  I first thought someone from Primo's left and started a similar place based on the menu.   Pizza prices were decent I thought.

Ate at The Underground in Carbondale tonight. Great food, interesting menu.

The New York steak and the Hangar steak were really good along with the homemade fries,

 Good Bloody Mary.
