Sad to hear this.  I loved watching the Jazz play when he was coach.

@salukiworld The last time Larry Bird played at the arena, I was still a student. I baught a handful of tickets for friends and family to drive down to join me for the game. But there was a miscommunication and I was one ticket short. So I gave them all of the tickets, and like I did for quite a few arena events, I snuck in. I had to sit by myself, so I just picked the best seat in the place to watch warmups. I expected that I would't get to stay there for long. All of the seats started to fill up around me. All except for the seat right next to me. Right at tipoff, a tall dude headed up the isle, eyeballing my seat. It was JERRY SLOAN, one of my childhood idles! He had a serious face and I thought he was going to kick my ass and take my seat. Instead as he sat down next to me, he said something like, your in luck kid. The rest of my party couldnt make it tonight. He never said another word. Even if he did, I would not have been able to hear him, in what was the loudest space i have ever been in.

Wes Unseld

RIP to Hall of Famer Wes Unseld, who passed away at the age of 74. Unseld was a legend at Louisville and in the NBA, and one of the greatest rebounders and outlet passers of all-time. Toughness personified.

Unseld and Bill Walton threw great outlet passes.

Eddie Haskell from Leave it to Beaver has died.

Those Pop Rocks finally caught up to him...

That 88-89 team of Henson's was the best team in the country - really fun to watch. Kenny Battle, Marcus Liberty, kendall Gill ....  Unfortunately Glen Rice played out of his gourd in the Final Four, making shots out his a r s e while being heavily guarded, and Michigan upset Illinois (after Illinois had beaten them twice) and went on to win the National Championship.

Maybe even more impressive was taking little ole New Mexico State to the Final Four.

Lou proved you could be a great guy and a great coach (unlike Bob Knight)!

Dale Hawerchuk.  Gone way too soon.  A great player and even greater person by all accounts.
