Bears keep drilling our batters. I've seen three Salukis hit in the last two innings.
6-5 Salukis after seven. The defensive struggles continue.
SIU holds on to win 10-9 and eliminates Missouri State.
Improbable win yet these almost forgettable dogs have now eliminated the 6th and 5th seeds. Between Mo State hitting and our multiple errors, the game was a real nail biter, but the deciding run was the home run hit by our diminutive second baseman Nikola Vasic. We had 17 hits (most this year) and 4 errors.
Trees lead 3-1 after 6.
4-1 Trees after 7.
Indiana State wins 4-1 and eliminates SIU.
I’ve taken some time off here because I’m generally happy with the direction SIU is going.
Even with all the good things, this program needs a total Ctrl-Alt-Del reboot, starting at the top.

good to see you back!
this needs to happen immediately.
P.S. No Hendo interview on the Saluki Radio Network. It’s as if Reis couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Furthermore, Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” was playing in the background at Duffy Bass. ISU trolling us? Or are they trolling Hendo?
Do we know when Hendo's contract is up?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

No. Clearly the increased investment and support didn’t yield better results. That has to weigh on Kill.
If there’s a model within SIU, look at the golf program. Good hires on both sides have equaled men’s and women’s titles. Softball is doing well and track is still good which leaves baseball as the missing link to dominating the spring sports.
It’s possible to turn this around. Again, SIU men’s golf never won a conference title until Fetcho got here.
