Very fun season, talented lineup and there’s been much progress in the program. Gritty run these past few days after the costly opening loss.
Areas to address going forward: strength of noncon schedule and pitching depth.
I just don’t see the MVC getting three teams in unfortunately and MSU and DBU are locks…hope I’m wrong because these guys deserve a spot in the postseason.
I don't assume DBU as a lock the eye test and head to head I would take Southern
I don't assume DBU is in at all. I won't be surprised if we get an at-large - we certainly deserve it. I won't be surprised if the NCAA screws us, but I will be as pissed off as hornet with a bent stinger!

We beat DBU 3 of 4 games and won the MVC with a 16 - 5 record to their 3rd place 11 - 9 - 1. They finished the season losing 4 of 6 with one tie. We won 4 of 6 and made it to the Championship game of the tournament.
Teams revealed tomorrow at 11AM on ESPN.
It stinks to say, but we don’t really have a shot at getting in. We’ve been in no projections nor have we been in any conversations.
The eye test shows we belong. The games against DBU and Illinois proved it. Just need to strengthen the OOC schedule next year. It’s a shame. These kids deserved a tournament berth. I believe they can play with anybody.

This is the best team in the conference, that's for sure. There's no doubt in my mind they could do some damage in the tournament. It's a shame that RPI is considered so heavily.
It seems like UIC, Belmont, and Murray State will be solid additions to the conference beginning next season, so hopefully that helps with our RPI going forward.
Is Rpi relied on? Have no idea. It isn't in basketball anymore, as it is so obviously faulty. I see ELO everywhere, even in MLB.
