Who knows why these guys pick a school. Could be that, since he's from W. Virginia, he'll play a lot more games close to home in the MAC and Mom and Dad can catch some of them. Certainly won't be playing in a better league.
If he's from Huntington, WV, that's 5 hours 40 minutes from Ypsilanti, MI and 6 hours, 34 minutes from Carbondale.

but Huntington is closer to most MAC schools than MVC schools for Mom and Dad and his kissing cousin (this is West Virginia after all) ... < 2 hours to Athens, 10 hours to Springfield, MO, 4-5 hours to Kent, 11+ hours to UNI, etc.
maybe he likes snow..maybe he likes the roster better at EMU ???
Lots of potential reasons he chose another school, none of which make me feel any better. I'm still holding out hope but if they fail to sign any really good players, then my hopefulness will certainly take a major hit.

@salukiworld Agree. Both offers are for shooting guards: 6'4 Kamren Martin holds two offers including us and 6'4 Adrian Wooley holds 14 offers. Not too hopeful on either one.
This sucks! Who was the coach they brought in recently? I was hoping that he could elevate SIU’s recruiting efforts. Doesn’t seem to be paying off this far.
MJ Thomas committed to New Orleans. Strange recruitment there with him reclassifying back a year.
Wooley just announced that he is committing to Kennesaw State. Bad news, but good luck to the young man.

Not good for a team picked 9th that has 4 open scholarships right now.
