SIU will play "slow ball" when conference season starts. Make no mistake. As far as it ruining our recruiting, many other Valley schools play similarly, as does other major programs (Virginia for example) and it sure doesn't seem to hurt them, nor did it hurt our recruiting when Webber or Painter were at the helm.
Virginia is a P5 school with multiple Elite 8s and Final Fours. And a championship in 2019.
Not really similar to SIU.

The discussion was our style of play and how it hinders recruiting. Virginia's style of play is exactly like SIU's so yes, very similar to SIU.
@insaluki Are you seriously arguing that recruiting players to a power 5 school is the same as recruiting players to SIU? That a slower style of play doesn't hinder recruitment at a power 5 school therefore it shouldn't hinder recruitment at a school like SIU?
Is DJ Bolden still being recruited? He had a visit a month or two ago. I don't see any notice of an offer. He is still uncommitted.

I actually watched a Rhode Island game against Providence a few weeks ago. Noticed his brother's name. That's funny! Hope we've made a good impression on him
All Wright is a very interesting recruit. I hope we can sign him.

Recent stats from a game a couple of weeks ago:
42 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
From the offers I saw on some recruiting sites we are the best offer but he maybe blowing up and may be hard to get
We need to look back into Justin King from Mascoutah. We offered him out of high school I believe. Averaging 21 points and 8 rebounds on 57% shooting for Rend Lake. Could be a solid guy off the bench at the very least. Reminds me of Ferguson
