What's impressive here is a 6'9 kid hitting 5/6 from 3.
Agree with you. He's only 17 so potentially could grow another inch or two. A lot of potential with this prospect, but due to body needing weight/ strength, I envision a redshirt next season. Many other programs felt strongly about him as well, as he was offered by numerous solid mid majors. Have listened to a few of his interviews, and he is also well spoken. I am hoping that Benet can make a run in the state playoffs, and will be interested in what DP can accomplish.
Sounds like he's becoming more of a factor as the season goes on.

He's certainly had some excellent games in the postseason, especially tonight against an opponent that had won more than 30 games. Seems to be a wide variety of opinions about him here. I trust and respect those who have seen him play and weren't impressed. But I'm not willing to label him as a recruiting bust before his high school career has even ended. Get him on campus and let's see how he does in scrimmages. Put him on a regimen to build strength and bulk -- if he needs to add weight, heck, take him to Quatro's a few times. After that, there can be an accurate appraisal of his ability to contribute immediately as a freshman and whether he should be redshirted.
I think he’s far from a bust. He probably struggled trying to transition to a stretch 4/5 but he’s really hitting his stride now. Hit 5 3’s tonight, a 6-9 guy that can hit 3’s consistently will play in the Valley, or any conference really

Benet will play Quincy on Monday in Normal
Benet beat Quincy 58-50. Pauliukonis goes for 17 in the 4A Super Sectional. On to the final four this weekend in Champaign.
Benet Academy is playing on TV right now for anyone who wants to see Pauliukonis.
Benet will play for the Championship tomorrow night. Pauliukonis was the leading scorer with 11 and adds 7 rebounds
Went 2 for 3 from 3-point range, too.
Congrats to Daniel, state champ & leading scorer in the game for Benet
Big time accomplishment! Congratulations!
Great for him. He seems like a great kid. Not sure he can help right away. Certainly looks like a redshirt candidate.
