Early season write up on Walsh from Prephoops.com:
"The 6’2 2025 Southern Illinois recruit got his senior season off to a rousing start. He averaged 37 points in three games as the Golden Griffins finished second in its own tournament. He scored a tournament high 45 points in the championship game against Hazelwood Central. He also averaged five rebounds and five assists in the tournament."
Luke scores a school record 50 points in a win tonight:

The two games that I am thinking about going to are on January 21st and February 21st, both against defending 4A champs DeSmet, coached by Saluki Hall of Famer Kent Williams.

27 points for Luke in a loss to Chaminade
@salukiworld I was at the game last night. Walsh plays with a non stop motor. Chaminade clamped down with their pressure defense but Walsh still finished with 27 pts. Vianney basically plays five guards. They had no answer for Jahadi White, 6'7, on the interior, (SIU 2026 offer). Can't wait to see Walsh in a Saluki uniform.
Vianney plays very tough competition. I would be very surprised if Walsh redshirted. He has the size and strength to step in and play minutes at the D1 level. It will probably come down to what kind of defense he can play, but I think he has decent quickness which will be key in man to man D.https://twitter.com/pHalfacre_STL/status/1872699901936845155

Cool that he got to go up against Kent.
I’ll take 2,000 points out of Walsh in a Saluki jersey. 😀
Walsh scored 34 in Vianney's win over Hickman. Mr. 2000
He looks like a tough, no BS kid. I like that.
