Aren’t we recruiting a kid from Desmet?  Maybe he and Luke should be friends. 😆

Unfortunately, I don't think so. However, I think he has a decent shot at being Mr. Basketball in Missouri.

Stars bars. How many stars were Chris Carr and Darren Brooks? I seem to remember Marcus Domask being a 3 star, and unless I’m mistaken, Drew Steffe a 4 star.

@dawgbytes If Steffe was a 4 star, which was probably overrated, Walsh should be a 5 star. 😆

SIU's had only one other Missouri Mr. Basketball, Marcus Timmons in 1991. Also, ony one Illinois Mr. Basketball, Kevin Dillard in 2008.

Every time there's a new post on this thread, I click on it with a little bit of dread that he's decommitted because some "high major" school has thrown a bunch of NIL money at him.

I will see your 5 stars and raise you a star!

I was quite concerned about this when we were 5-11 and getting blown out on a regular basis, but not so much now that there's been a resurgence. It's especially encouraging that he's sat behind the bench at a few home games and has cheered with great enthusiasm for SIU, according to eyewitnesses.

He's been paying close attention on Twitter too:
