For what it's worth, it is a really young team. Nedoma looks like a future All-Conference player. Doubt they'll fire the coach after only two years. Tommy Bell should have offered Justin Ingram a big raise to try to keep him (not sure that would have worked.) Next match against UNI should be Really ugly.

Ingram had this program headed in the right direction and things have gone down hill quick with the new coach. She needs to pick up the pace.

She needs to be fired as quickly as possible. She has taken an NCAA tournament program and destroyed it. They have won just one set in Valley play and it's another SIU program in ruins.

With the tragic death of Carlo Montemagno, who is Jerry Kill answering to? As of right now, he’s the only directly responsible individual above the coaches unless Dorsey says something about athletics being a giant money pit with no results to show for it.
Someone on Facebook said this and it is true. If Jack Welch were here, he’d push for SIU to get rid of some of these bad programs in athletics along with other programs that aren’t performing in academics and administrative positions as well.

That's a very good question.
I think we are getting close to being at the minimum required to remain D-I, so getting rid of entire programs isn't much of an option.

Our best player has decided to transfer out of the program according to Hefferman. Not a good sign for a team trying to avoid its worst season in school history.

The sooner the better. We were an NCAA team less than two years ago. We have won just ten matches since then. 0-11 in the Valley. What an absolute disaster.
