I'm all for heavily prioritizing men's basketball investment (I think football is a much tougher deal at SIU for multiple reasons), but the women's basketball program has slid to such an embarrassing level that it borders on demoralizing to run it back with this coaching staff for another year.
If they're working on fundraising to cover the buyout (which can't be that much?), OK, though you'd be putting a new coach in a hole by not making a quick move. I guess the more likely scenario is everyone is just supposed to swallow another year of this mess. Not a great look.
