Kill has made his first hire. Former University of Evansville assistant coach Grant Williams has been named the women's soccer coach at SIU. Williams oversaw recruiting, scouting reports, travel, fitness testing and team building at UE. The Aces appeared won two MVC titles and made it the MVC final three additional times during his tenure there.

Looks like a Bruce Weber type--a guy that's been a great assistant for a decade and finally got his chance as a head coach--congrats to him.

The Salukis are slated to play 18 matches in 2019, including three exhibitions. Dates and times for the 2019 schedule will be announced in the spring, Williams said.

Hopefully this turns out well for the university. It'd be nice to have another competitive program in the athletic department.

Marion's Marissa Basi committed during the summer. Coach Williams said on signing day that they would not release the recruiting class until it is complete.
