On the surface sounds like a good hire. Brings big time recruiting chops and long term associated head coaching experience from a big time program.

Hmmm. Did a little digging at A&M. Thier long time head coach, Gary Blair, retired and they hired Georgia's head coach, Joni Taylor, last week to replace him.
Nonetheless - I'm still excited for this hire!

I think that would be a concern, but otherwise sounds really good. Weber was the long time associate head coach at Purdue before SIU gave him his first head coaching job.

This just seems like a grand slam hire. I was really worried with an interim AD we wouldn’t find somebody quickly enough. Great hire to keep the good momentum going.

Mo St dipped into the Power 5 as well with their new coach. Beth Cunningham comes from Duke and South Bend Junior College. She was a long-time assistant coach and was announced yesterday.

Yes! I came here specifically to say the same: reminds me a lot of the Weber hire; many had the same concern about him.

Is there any way to have a preseason event showcasing both the men's and women's teams? At best have both play exhibition type games one right after the other. At least an intrasquad scrimmage to display the players to the fans.
