Did not see this posted anywhere on siusalukis.com. SIU had six players on the MVC all conference softball team.
First team: freshman Jackie Lis, SS and junior Elizabeth Warwick, centerfield
Second team: sopomore Emma Austin, right field, freshman Anna Carder, catcher, junior Riley Hamilton, 3rd base, junior Bailey Caylor, DP
Madi Eberle (19 - 9) not all conference? Really? but she was the MVP of the conference tournament - (Warwick, Hamilton, and Lis were also on the all-tournament team).
and they're all CHAMPS.
Only a couple of seniors on this team (Depron, Schullian, Gamm) - should be very good next year.
Very good yes but as always need to add pitching depth this year's team wore out Madi because of injuries
I'm betting Coach Sewell will definitely recruit a pitcher or two. Hopefully Stinson will be back healthy. I think you need at least four when you play so many games.
