34-26 Dawgs at the half.
Impressed after the 2+ week layoff and back to back games they don't have dead legs.

After being up 8 at half then up 10 in the quarter Southern up 4 after 3. 47-43.
Now up 7 50-43 at 1st media TO in the 4th.
Also, after a gagillion fouls in the 1st half only 4 whistles in 3rd.

Another strong 4th, didn't give up a point for 7 minutes. Only gave up 8 for the quarter. 11 points allowed in the 4th over two games! Love our two freshmen starters Love and Katcher. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
67-51 Dawgs!!! OVC weekend sweep!

Couldn't do my women's game commentary tonight. Internet issues among other things.
But....
WE WON! 79-68!!!
The stars came to play. Mac with 24 and Brockmeyer with 23.
After clunking the opener, and taking two weeks off - we've won three straight.
Big test on Sunday. At Mizzou. Coach going back to her old school. Not expecting a win, but ya never know.

Yikes!
17-8 Mizzou starts off smoking the nets.

21-12 Mizzou after 1.
Mac has been shut out and no good shots.

Well....
Southern got to within 6 at 26-20. Then Mizzou closed the last 3 min on a 13-2 run.
39-22 at the half. Mizzou pushing us around pretty good. Our bright spot is Gabby Walker 8pts in only 7 minutes on the floor.

Bad shooting. Slight ref bias. Mizzou hot shooting and pushing us around = 22 point deficit.
50-28 Mizzou halfway thru 3rd.
Now you can really see the difference between Power 5 women's team and middle tier mid- major. And Mizzou hasnt been a factor on the national stage in a while.
Stein is the only coach in Mizzou history to take them to a Sweet 16 appearance.

Okay, that was ugly. I'm not sure we shot over 20% on the day. Mak and Brockmeyer with horrible days. Hell, the whole team shot poorly. It wasn't as if Mizzou played good D, we had good looks all day.
79 - 43 final.

Sounds like how the men's team shot at Mizzou last year. Ugliest game I've ever seen.
