WEEEE haaaave a winner!

69-51 Dawgs (5-2, 2-0 MVC)

McCallister leads with 17. 33 for the weekend. Freshman Katcher 11&7,  PG Love with 5 and ONE turnover for both games. Caitlin Link with 11 (career high). Good solid wins without out our two All-Conference level players.

Evansville looks better than last year. Much bigger, faster. Just didn't shoot well. But we played some damn good D for long stretches.

On to Bradley next weekend. Gonna be tough, but I think we got a good shot at least a split.

Adrianna Katcher named Newcomer Of The Week.

McCallister got honorable mention for player of the week. Should have been player of the week IMO.

Rough start in Peoria.

Dawgs dug themselves a 15-0 hole. Fought back a bit in the 2nd qtr got within 6. But still down 40-26 at the half.

Braves making damn near everything they look at.

Mak and Abby back from quarantine.

FT's keeping us in this game, we're 12-14. Braves haven't shot any. They've rung up 11 fouls. We're only shooting 31%

Final 77-55 braves.

Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.

Ugly start to the game. Ugly defense. Ugly offense.

Nice recovery in the 2nd. 41-39 Braves at halftime. McCallister got hot in the 2nd. Cheap foul at the end of the half gives Braves the lead.

Well things were looking good. We were up by 4 a couple of times. Then the score got tied at fifty. Then the Petree girl went bonkers and Bradley went on a 15-4 run in the last 2 and half minutes.  65-54 Braves after 3

Bradley shooting SIXTY-FOUR percent.

Wow. Bradley smoked the nets at 63% 80-68 final.  Went 30-18 over the last 12 and half minutes. Not as if we played bad D. We had our breakdowns, but Bradley shot lights out.

Brockmeyer did get to 1000 career points, Mak with 17. McCallister with 15. Brockmeyer with 11.

Next two women's series cancelled. Loyola this weekend (up there) and Valpo next weekend (here).

Multiple Tier 1 positive tests on us.

Well...Women not faring much better than the men. Have now lost four straight. With a 53-46 loss at The Fighting Sister Jeans. Other than Brockmeyer's 28pts - No scoring - Shame to waste a beast game from Abbs.

Defense looks good. Just no offense. These layoffs and no practices just kill any kind of continuity.

AND another sweep of Saluki basketball. Women have now lost five straight after two offensive stinkers in Chicago. Only 92 points in two games. Scrappy defense though. The women have had three pauses. Hard to get any continuity.

Brockmeyer with a double-double. And that's about it.

Women blow 8 point 2nd half lead and lose 6th straight to the Turdbirds. No Brockmeyer - she's in boot. We look slow and tired.

Losing streak snapped!!

Down 8-0. Down 15 in the first half. Down 10 at the half.

Gritty 2nd half performance. No Brockmeyer, no problem.

Held the Deadbirds to 0-14 from 3.
