We have a new coaching staff and a lot of veteran players, but this is a really bad team, as usual. Won a few games the first year (2019) against weak teams but haven't won a game since! Haven't scored a goal this year! WOW, just WOW!
Just lost two exhibitions against NAIA and D2 schools. Lost again today to Lindenwood, a smaller school in their first year of D1, a team that was 4 - 11 in D2 last year.
I have to say, it really burns m y a s s that they waste money on this when they cancelled a successful tennis program (not to mention a national power gymnastics program years ago)!
(Don't even get me started on volleyball, another winless team with a highly paid coach picked for 12th in the MVC in his 4th year!)

This is getting a lot of attention on social media. If true, an apology is owed and perhaps a short suspension may be in order. A bad look, especially for a male coach toward a female coach.

I think the ISU coach might have deleted her tweet but it was basically that SIU's coach told her to shut up when she was talking to the referee ... there might have been a little more to it than that, and I think there was some additional ugliness postgame when she refused to shake his hand.
Heat of battle things happen but to tweet these things seems a little over the top should have been handled in private not public
Gonna be mad as H if they fire this coach over this. Finally have a decent coach and a decent team.
She's a Redturd coach. Of course she should shut up!!
Just kidding!!!!! But I sure have wanted to say that to Muller and Chickenspackle!!
I think the coach needs a talking to, end of story. Big deal as far as I'm concerned.
On the other hand, I think the Redturd coach is trying to make it into a Male Chauvinist Pig thing, and I'm not sure it's that. He might just be a super competitive guy and didn't like the Redturd coach's attempts to sway the ref.
Wonder if Bob Knight or John Chaney or Bo Ryan or Bob Huggins or Woody Hayes or Bo Shembuckles would be suspended for saying something a bit out of order. LOL
It's an eggshell world.

I’m not saying the guy should be fired or even suspended for more than a game or two (unless there’s more to it than we know), but when you’re a man coaching a women’s sport, that’s not the way to conduct yourself with a female counterpart. He should have known better.
@siudawgs I believe coaches are coaches and gender shouldn't come into play I have been around women coaches who are every bit as salty with their team as a man is with theirs

Believe what you like but I’m guessing this issue wouldn’t have gotten the major attention it did on social media - and we wouldn’t be talking about it on here - if those gender dynamics weren’t involved.
@siudawgs I believe more if the opposing coach hadn't posted anything on social media we wouldn't have known anything and it would have been handled differently
This should have been handled through the MVC office and not on social media. Social media, in many ways, is a forum for firebrand. I'm not condoning Coach Roberts' actions if they were directed at gender here; but after reading the tweet one could "read between the lines" thinking he was making a misogynistic remark.
How many times have coaches gone after each other over the years and told each other where to shove it? Remember the epic Calipari and John Chaney post-game presser? I'm sure Geno Auriemma and Pat Summit had a few choice words for each other back in the day in the heat of battle, but had enough respect for each other - and discretion- not to go whining about it in public.
Like I said before the ISU-R coach should have gone to The Valley office and The Valley could have dealt with us directly instead of her making a public spectacle of this.

Last place in the MVC and they've only scored 3 goals in Valley play. Maybe ISU's coach should be putting her focus somewhere else.
Saluki Insider? I barely know her!
