Even if SIU beats ISUblue with style points next Saturday, it's probably 50/50 that they make the playoffs.
Quite frustrating result today, but certainly not surprising.
0/7 now in the Buffalo Dome, 12/13 losses to The NDSU. In game and halftime adjustments are so very important, we seem to struggle making them.
While listening to Luke Martin and Mike Trude, you could sense their frustration as well. The Sycs have been improving all season, and especially lately. This contest will be difficult. 7-4 with SOS gets SIU in, however, they most likely will be sent to a powerhouse, quite possibly from the MVFC. Not a good scenario.
After this latest debacle, it is becoming more difficult to feel the need to support the program via NIL $$$.

I just did the math. Over the last 10 years, we have played the Dakotas (NDU, NDSU, SDU, SDSU) 30 times. We have lost 21 of the 30. 2W and 1L against NDU. 1W and 8L against NDSU. 4W and 5L against SDU. 2W and 7L against SDSU. Not good.

I would still rather be in the MVFC with the the Dakotas than not. We are in the best football conference in all of FCS and certainly have become more competitive in recent years as evidenced by the game we gave the Jacks.

I'm not ready to join the OVC for sure. That SDSU game felt like they were on cruise control. If we are lucky enough to make the playoffs and end up playing them, they'll beat us like a hyperactive bongo player.
Our Oline is crap and seems to have regressed. Just poor blocking.
offensive line complaints are sort of like the old Batman show same Bat time same Bat channel either we have guys who just aren't strong enough or the scheme is bad or technique is bad something has to change to go forward and 1 more thing maybe they aren't developingI would still rather be in the MVFC with the the Dakotas than not. OLine has struggled at times but it doesn’t help when the QB can’t see open guys, won’t give WRs one on one opportunities downfield, non athletic and slow, and doesn’t see running lanes when under pressure. Simmons looked good Vs a bad Western Illinois. We have a FBS transfer that is finally healthy after two year hiatus from shoulder surgery. I’m ready to see Lindauer for in a game situation. Hill must hate 6’3 QBs that can open up the playbook.

@mr_woogers oh my. That’s not good offensive numbers! Thank goodness we have a defensive. Shocking we have shot at 7 wins with those offensive numbers.
