Salukis a FG favorite on the number-cruncher sites.
Really good read here. Quite the turnaround for the defensive line.

After a solid win on HC, and UNI/NDSU on the near horizon,
this could potentially be a trap game for the Dawgs.
SD will be ready to go, especially after losing to us in the 2021 playoffs. However, offense is improving each game, and defense has traveled to all of the away games except UIW. I like our chances as Nick and staff will have them prepared.
GO DAWGS!
The next two games give me a bit of anxiety. It’s easy to start looking ahead with USD sitting at 1-5 and UNI having a down year.
USD is definitely more talented than their record shows, I don’t think as good as last year, but that is pretty much the same team that made the playoffs so feels like they are just underperforming. They have had a brutal schedule! Need to keep that chip on our shoulders and come out ready to play.
Looks like they give up a lot of yards on the ground, so hopefully we can establish our RBs and hit some plays downfield off that action. Defense just keep doing what you do and we should be alright.
The Coyotes don't have much of a passing game. Carson Camp averages 149 passing yards a game and has just 4 passing touchdowns in 6 games. Camp does run a bunch, he has 224 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
Travis Theis is their leading running back and has 452 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. He's also their leader in receptions with 14.
If the offense can score, SIU should be in good shape here.
Let's keep this train rolling and make it 6 straight today.
We are 4.5 pt favorites according to BetOnline right now.
Reis says Branyan, Green, Evans, Harden, and Caughell are starters on the OL today. Wonder why Abdou Toure is out. He had started since Northwestern.
Great first drive for the offense and Javon Williams Jr gets another touchdown.

Special teams continue to be suspect. Nick has said multiple times that we have to get better. So it's obviously an emphasis.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Great start, although Baker got lucky he wasn’t picked off midfield.
Dawgs are on a roll. Every victory gives us more confidence. Nice start for the Salukis. Let's make it six wins in a row.
Bryce Miller with a fumble on 3rd down and South Dakota takes the ball to the goal line
Huge momentum swing as South Dakota gets a touchdown. SIU had about a 17 play advantage through 2 drives before that fumble.

Ro Elliott has been gashing the South Dakota defense. 4 carries for 66 yards so far. SIU driving again.
