Have to say I didn't think from the start that we were playing with a lot of energy or urgency even though it looked like we might beat this hapless team by 40, their offense was so bad. After Miller fumbled and gave them a TD, things changed. This new QB gave them some serious energy, and their lines just dominated ours. We also forgot how to tackle in the 2nd half. Also, I thought AC dropped a few critical passes today that he might normally catch. They just out toughed us every which way.
Must be Nielsen's new tie mojo. What a shame.
Better play way better next week or UNI will kick our butts! They're blasting MoState today.

The Nick Hill era is a hell of a lot better than the Dale Lennon era but just being an FCS Playoff bubble team every year shouldn't be good enough. Especially when the FCS continues to lose good programs every year to the FBS.
Northern Iowa becomes a big game next week, can't lose that one or you'll likely lose 3 in a row with the Bison looming. Would be another year of sliding at the end of the season combined with the slow start to start the season.
Hats off to S Dakota, they deserved this win.

That last drive was really rough. Baker missed a couple guys (especially on that first down throw). Defense was poor in the second half but, got some critical stops and we quickly shot ourselves in the foot with bad penalties. Really disappointing result and makes next week absolutely critical. Pretty much lost any chance at a seed and if we don’t win 2 of the next 3, we may not even make the playoffs.

Strong hurt his knee and had surgery. I think they said he was out until the last week or two. If you are referencing Lester for the FR RB he got a handful of carries, but didn’t do much with them. Had a nice run on our last scoring drive down to the three, but that was about it.
The whole team seemed gassed. We need a bye week badly. I wish it were this week instead of next.
If we can beat UNI at home and YSU to close the season, but lose to NDSU, how confident should we be about making the playoffs?
A 6-2 conference record and win over an FBS should get us fairly comfortably in, right?
Baker and Avante Cox couldn’t seem to get on the same page yesterday (other than the one TD play). I know the defense scuffled in the second half but when you only score 3 in the second half, you’re playing with fire. Bad loss.
@tj-mcflys Justin Strong didn't play last week either. Broken thumb. Surgery. May play vs. UNI. If not, then vs. NDSU.
@saluki44 Harden return from injury last week, but didn't start. Harden started this week and Toure was benched.
