No line out for our game yet, but SEMO is getting 34 points against Iowa State on BetOnline. I'm tempted to take them with that spread.
It's Game Day! Let's Go Dawgs!! Start the season strong and get a win tonight.
If Baker improves from the end of last year then we'll be just fine. Teams figured him out last year and we had no answer. Hopefully this off-season Baker/Hill made necessary adjustments.
I was surprised to see UNI get hammered by Air Force today, 48-17. I thought they would keep it competitive.
NDSU gave Iowa all it could handle in an offensive showdown (7-3).
North Dakota tied up with Nebraska at the half. I wonder if Frost will make it the year.

Frost might not make it to Monday
Illinois State down 2 touchdowns to Wisconsin on FS1
S. Dakota St's D was really impressive. Held Iowa to a FG. They had two safeties 2nd half to win 7 - 3. Iowa had just 166 total yards, only 57 rushing, and was sacked 4 times. SDSU had 120 total yards, 33 rushing, with two sacks.
SDSU had 12 penalties to Iowa's two. Killer!
N. Dakota was tied with Nebraska late in the 3rd before Nebraska spanked them. Tommy Schuster is a darn good QB and UND is a good FCS team.

Dawgs are 8-6 over last 14 games. I’m not sure that’s “just fine” for a program wanting to be a top level FCS team.
Listened to today's Nick Hill presser ... some of the questions were almost as painful to listen to as the blown coverages were to watch on Sat night in San Antonio.
Kinda crazy that no one asked about the two blown punt snaps, and no questions about health/availability for Week 2. Still wondering about Jules, who didn't play much or at all in the second half. And this tweet adds to the concern:

Jake Baumgarte makes Honorable Mention for Freshman of the Week.
UIW is the national FCS Team of the Week.
For some unknown reason, we are still ranked - #17.
UIW moves to #8. NDSU #1, SDSU #2, UNI #24. USD still getting votes after getting crushed by 34 by KState. N. Dakota getting (fewer) votes after playing Nebraska tough.

Hadn't even noticed Jules hardly played. He didn't show up in the ESPN box score I just looked at. Wonder what that's about. He was Reis' pregame interview, so it's strange.
Based on what we saw from our secondary, it'd be a big loss if he were out for whatever reason.

UNI plays at UND. N. Dakota holds the longest home opener streak in FCS at 35 wins in a row. UNI's rushing game is not great. Tommy Schuster is completing 65% of his passes. Craig Haley of the Analyst picks UND, as does Massey.

#5 Mo State hosts a good UT-Martin team tonight on ESPN+ at 7PM. Last year UTM beat them - pounded WIU last week.
Massey picks us by a TD:

MSU down 7-0 early to UT-Martin. It wouldn’t bother me to see MSU drop this one, the home opener of their most anticipated season in decades. I’m not above a little schadenfreude.
