Why are they running down 11 with 2:00 left?
Nice drive by the offense to stay alive. Touchdown for D'Ante Cox.

2 point conversion and onside to come
Need a miracle.
Got the conversion!
Salukis get the 2. Need the onside but just a field goal ties it if they get it.
NDSU gets the onside
Well - we gave it a go today. Playing for pride next weekend at YSU.

not the first time Clayton Bush (#0) made a dumb unsportsmanlike penalty this year. He's a good player but you can't do that to your team. Smarter players wouldn't do that.
Home losses to SEMO and UNI and the L to the Coyotes were the killers. You certainly don’t want to have to beat the Bizzzon in November.
Really weird season. They played some really good ball during the winning streak but too much talent to be a .500 team. Agree with the post above that lineplay remains lukewarm and special teams also was a sore spot this year, along with way too many untimely, dumb penalties.
I like Nick Hill … he’s made progress in recent years but I hope there’s still the ability to grow and troubleshoot what’s been holding them back.
I rarely post on the football team, but I do follow them and watch when I can. I've always liked Nick Hill and he's done a pretty good job, but his teams are consistently undisciplined. Untimely penalties and boneheaded play have been staples throughout his tenure.
This is Nick's Achillies heel and he needs to fix it. Programs that win consistently at any level are also the most disciplined. You can't sustain success at anything in life without it.
This is where I truly appreciate what Bryan Mullins has done. His guys consistently do the right things on and off the basketball court. Perhaps he and Nick should have a conversation.

#3 on defense has given up every one of their 3rd down and long completions this game…every fucking one.
At this point, the defense is just gassed. The game changed when they had 30 yards of penalty yards on the kickoff after they took the lead.
I went to the game because 1) I like to freeze my ass off, 2) tickets were only $10 for any seat with no $4 add-on bullshit and it was Senior Day, and 3) couch-potato prevention.
Their 2nd TD was BS. We had them 3rd and 12, but their receiver shoved our DB to get open for an 18 yd gain - right in front of the ref. People were booing and yelling at the ref. BS no-call that kept their drive alive, after which they scored that 2nd TD.
That 30 yard penalty was a killer. The targeting was just a dumbass play by one of our guys. The crowd went oo-ah cuz you could hear the smack all over the stadium. I instantly thought targeting! Evidently there was some other personal foul on the play. First they called "not being nice to a Bison". After review they added targeting and walked off a third of the field.
The D actually played great after that first TD drive, but NDSU had long drives in the 2nd half that kept us from having more than a few possessions and wore out the D. I thought NB played a whale of a game - the best QB runs he's made all year.
Didn't like the play calling on that first FG. Run, run, run against the best run D in FCS. Also thought we ignored the middle for passing until the last drive we scored on. That was open all day and it takes bigger balls to use it, but we stuck to the safer sideline pass.
We're gonna miss the Cox brothers. Too bad Deonte had so many injuries in his career - he's a darn good WR like his brother. Made a tough catch for the last TD with a guy draped on him like a cape on Dracula.

Yeh he needs to emphasize avoiding bone-headed penalties - can cost you a game or a spot in the playoffs.
BTW, Branson Coombs is a heck of a player.
The penalty on Bush was VERY questionable. He had the guy wrapped up but couldn't bring him down. The runner was still pumping those legs and Coombs only choice was to pick him up and throw him down. No whistle had been blown. Doubt that would have been called a penalty in FBS. Fans had a fit, including me.
