The transfer portal will be hot and heavy in Springfield this off-season.
Not sure what Bobby was making in Springfield but my guess is that it possibly doubled his money. Plus, it's a shorter step to Power 5 status from Las Vegas than it is from Springfield.
Like I said in the offseason thread, I expected he'd be out of Springfield in about 3 seasons, although I'm a little surprised he's leaving for an OC position. Figured he'd wait for a HC opportunity, although maybe that'd never come.

Agree. UNLV is not a great football job. Just ask Bobby Hauck, back at Montana. And OC? Can't imagine he's making much more than he did at Mo State. UNLV is not the Big 10 or Pac 12. He was one of the better paid MVFC coaches at $325K +.
I hope they lose at least some players and recruits out of this. It'll make me feel better after one of their fans gave me a hard time on Twitter after one of our St. Louis-area recruits flipped to MSU (and then subsequently flipped to another school).

MSU promoted their DC, Ryan Beard, who appears to be pretty popular among the players and fans. Will be interesting to see what that program does from here.
