Kansas struggled last year - beat Indiana St 24 - 17 in the opening game. (Also beat Boston College and Texas Tech for their only other wins.)

i find it odd they would announce this just days before the league announces their plans. but i also found it odd that julia roberts married lyle lovett.
Is it possible that even if the MVFC delays the season, they still can play the game? The $$$ is more important than anything.
This may be a total coincidence, but if you go on to the SIU Athletics website and try to buy tickets, it no longer lets you.
I can't see any scenario where there are going to be any paying customers in the stands for a college football game this fall without something drastic happening in the control of the virus (i.e. vaccine).
@obd Let's be honest. At recent SIU football games, there has been PLENTY of unwanted social distancing.

Don't know who Thamel is but even if there is no championship, it's up to the conferences, not the NCAA, whether they play. If every conf. but the MVFC cancelled, the MVFC could still play their conf. games if that's what they decided. Not sure how any games can be played safely.

Looks like FCS Playoffs are a no go. Can't imagine that any football gets played this fall in the FCS. Would be interesting to see if SIU could play Kansas for the money game and move the rest of the schedule to the Spring.
