SIU only getting $25,000 to play at UMass? $300,000 to play at Arkansas St. Meanwhile IndSU gets $450,000 to play at Kansas, SDSu $425,000 at Minnesota, UNI $450,000 at Ia. St, WIU $375,000 at Co.St., Mo. State $400,000 at Tulane, Redturds $325,00 at NIU.

$25,000? That doesn't even cover the trip! Why even schedule this game??

Akron gets $1.1 mill and Eastern Michigan gets 1 mill to play at Illinois.

I like the % of revenue for the game options, at least then you can make a lot more if picked up by media.

$25,000 on the UMass game is really REALLY low.  I agree, that doesn't cover the cost of the trip.  I'm hoping they missed a zero and it's really $250,000.

$25k and a win, sounds good to, bet UMass wants to renegotiate that $25k into $10k now.

Looking at that list from the original post, how does a school like NIU afford to pay ISU $325k?

How does that make any sense? Is it a necessary cost on NIU's part just to be able to fill their schedule?

Attendance there is down. They had 9000 fans for Homecoming.

NIU football attendance continues nosedive
NIU football attendance continues nosedive

128 out of 130 FBS schools:

They also have had schools like Utah, San Diego St.,  Boston College in Dekalb. Probably had to pay them a lot more. They play away games at places like Iowa, Fla. St., Nebraska, Utah, Wis., BC, Vandy for which they get paid a lot. I know the Wis.  payday was over $1 mill. And they must get TV money. The MAC even has midweek games (for TV), which hurts actual attendance.

This year they're down too, although they did beat the Redturds.
