NCAA has forced Mississippi State to forfeit football wins for academic violations. The article didn't actually state the specific games that would be overturned but SIU's should be one of them.
We played Ole Miss last year - not Miss. St. However we did beat Ole Miss in the Dale Lennon era due to a forfeit! 😀

I actually think if a NCAA team forfeits a win later on, it's technically not a win for the other team, just that technically the game never happened for win-loss purposes. I might be wrong though.
Fun fact, USC forfeited the win from the slaughter of our basketball team that started the downward spiral we're still in over 10 years later.
Although there's some hope for us for the first time since the ill-fated top 25 recruiting class.
