By the way, did anybody see this garbage quote by the NDSU coach: ‘the only team that beats us is the one in our locker room’

Kind of a cruddy quote.

Where are all the poor recruiting, drop the program, fire the coach folks today?

Oh, you’re forgetting my favorite one of them all...

• Best FCS football conference in the country.

•Top one-third college basketball conference in the country

....but let’s drop to the OV fucking C! 😆 😝 😂

I'm right here, mouth.

Great win, but one win doesn't cure our ills.

I enjoyed it like everyone else.

Reality will smack us again soon enough.

We are beyond financially broke thanks to Kill.

Watched his walk-off interview on Bison Channel and he was one unhappy fella. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

March on triumphantly!

So happy for this team. After last week, it would have been so easy to lay down against NDSU, but they came out and dominated from start to finish in every facet of the game. I don’t think NDSU is as good as past teams, but that is a great win no matter how you slice it.

Now they need to carry this forward...we are exactly where most expected us to be at 2-1. Let’s go Dawgs!!!!

First off let me say this was an astounding effort in every phase of the game with that being said no matter what sport is mentioned their are a few posters who at the first sign of adversity act like the ship is sinking then with a big win like today the same people jump on the band wagon to each his own but wouldn't it be better to be supportive of these young men as everyone has an off day occasionally so let's try that

This is a great win but the football program hasn't been to the playoffs in over a decade now (and combine that with the other revenue sport) and looked awful last week.  I think all of us want the football program to turn things around and for Nick Hill to succeed.

That's a bs comment by Coach Matt Bunghole! We kicked their booty in every possible way. They scored a TD in garbage time and won the lottery on a Hail Mary - I don't even count that as a score!

We looked like the more talented team and the better coached team!! I'm betting that won't be their only loss this year.

This was the only thing he could say.  It was for consumption only by his players.  He doesn't care who else hears it.  A team that has won 39 in a row does not need a sledge hammer taken to it.  Telling his team that a low level team like SIU that got blown out last week by an unranked NDU team proves you all suck sideways, is not the thing to do.   I said crapola like this in my coaching days, and never meant a word of it.  Obviously, the NDSU team didn't come to play.  And as soon as their qb play proved to be sub-par and wasn't going to give them a chance of winning, they quit.  So you let the leadership in the locker room take over.  Let them use their leadership abilities.  The players respond best to it.  And I am confident that there is plenty of it.  I would also argue that if we played them again next week, it would not be the same result.  I would also not be surprised if NDSU put in that frosh qb and ran the table with him.

Today's game, coupled with last week's, proves that football has turned into a QB's game.  Lyles sucks. I'm sorry but there is no other way to look at it.  He is well below average to shat in reading defenses, changing protection, pocket awareness, foot speed/quickness, arm strength, ball security, etc.  At least we know now that even when his ribs are healed, he will not be the qb.  The NDU qb completely out played our qbs last week - and blew us out.  And today, I've only watched the first half, so far, but our qb looked serviceable to good and theirs looked like Lyles.  With a qb like that, you don't stand a chance.  You get blown out.  And I know we're not supposed to rag on any one kid, but G M Chrysler.  Enough is enough.

I also like how this coaching staff made A LOT of adjustments based on what last week showed.  For example, one player on D graded out under a 10 with me.  Hell, I could have thrown the chair I'm sitting in right now out on the field and given it a 15.  So far I haven't seen him in the game today.  GOOD.  When you are a DL and you're getting in the way of your SS making a tackle, you are getting blown off the ball and into the next zip code.  Sit down and make it on the end of the bench.  The hash stripe has a better chance at making a play than you.

Anybody ever go to the practices?  Is Stone Norton getting any snaps at all?  Any body heard from underdawg?  He always privately gave me his scouting reports.  I really appreciated it.  Always had a lot of inside information.  He's not answering his emails.  Hope Marv is okay.

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

I think we'd beat them again next week if we played mistake free football like today - maybe not quite the blowout though. Their QB is an Iowa St. transfer BTW.

Is Norton even eligible before next Fall? I checked out his games at FIU - with one exception (Liberty - QBR of 197), not that impressive, but he was a true freshman.

I thought Baker reacted quickly, threw some excellent passes, had a quick release, and showed good arm strength. Also had some escapability and didn't play scared.  He had a QB rating of 181 if my figures are correct.

Sure hope Lyles has lost his starting job.

(I thought Underdawg had a lot of good info too - think he split because of some rather nasty and undeserved treatment by certain posters, IMO.)

No, Norton is not eligible until fall.  I am curious if he was getting any work.  Like on the scout team.
