#FCS: Regardless of playoffs, the conference decisions to play or not still come from their school presidents and CEO groups.
Next scheduled meetings for the seven hoping to play:
Today: OVC, Pioneer and Southland
Tomorrow: Big Sky, MVFC and Southern
Friday: Big South— Craig Haley (@CraigHaley) August 5, 2020
College football 2020: Here’s what each conference has decided ... so far
DII just did the same. Each conference will decide to compete or not, but all fall championships are canceled.
Although after a game or 2, I figure Covid 19 will show up and that will end the season:
The 40-person D1 Council will decide by 8/21 whether there will be D1 football championships. Patty Viverito of the MVFC is on this board as are the ADs from UNI and SDSU.

The MVFC can still have a conference championship - that's up to the presidents/chancellors.
"It said the FCS - the 127-member lower half of D-I college football - will only have a playoff if at least 50 percent of eligible programs play this fall, and the 24-team event can be reduced in size....
about 75 of the 127 schools, have kept alive the possibility of a fall season..
The NCAA doesn't control the regular season, so schools can proceed with a schedule even without a postseason. "
Playoff or not, "the conference decisions to play or not come from their school presidents and CEO groups. The next scheduled meetings for the seven conference hoping to play are the Ohio Valley, Pioneer and Southland on Wednesday; Big Sky, Missouri Valley and Southern on Thursday; and Big South on Friday."
